ceo meditationThe genuine pursuit of self-knowledge leads us to stimulate and develop areas of our brain (i.e., the pre-frontal cortex) that have the capacity to override prior learning. Meditation is particularly important in this process, because with repeated use it strengthens the threshold between the emotional centers of the brain and the left pre-frontal cortex. This creates the opportunity to lessen the likelihood of our thinking brain being hijacked by our emotional centers which play a big role is preserving our early mental models and limit our ability to grow into our true destiny.
