The ability to ‪#‎trust‬ requires the ability to see and accept mixed intentions in others. The pathway to trusting our real self involves no less. It requires us to ignore warning signals from the ego that seized control earlier in our life to maintain an idealized view of ourselves (not necessarily positive). In preserving our image of ourselves at all costs, it limits what we are truly capable of achieving. In its war with self-realization is reverses the signals and presents up as down and down as up. One thing that helps is to serenely bare the pain of being displeasing to yourself no matter what form of deceit resistance to personal mastery takes at the time.
