The American Revolution was an outcome of deliberation, great thoughts, a willingness to share abundance, and the recognition that the cost of excess was too high. In essence, it was a vote for moderation and the belief that the freedom to pursue our own happiness would liberate the greatest energy for everyone. Patriotism was born of the alliance between genuine self interest and the best interest of the nation. Happiness like money is more frequently an outcome of moderation [highest performance is achieved at intermediate levels of drive] and reasonableness, which is essentially dedication to reality at all costs. That winning combination worked for the founders, and represents a formula that is likely to liberate the greatness in you.
